After two months with the OLM3, it’s a great tool for DIY projects, but comes with some caveats. The 20W laser cuts 10mm plywood like a breeze and engraves with amazing detail, but struggled to cut 15mm pine in one pass. The air assist helps with burn marks, though I still had to sand projects afterward.
The cooling fans work well but are noisy, and I clean the lenses more often than I’d like. The Inspira esth app is easy to use for basic tasks, but I bought Lightburn for more control. Safety features like the laser - filtered window are excellent, though assembly took longer than expected.
Once set up, the high engraving speed saves tons of time. Overall, it’s worth the price if you’re okay with some trial - and - error and learning the ropes.
